Autumn is finally here
after a record breaking summer here in the Valley of the Sun. Driving over to
Palm Springs, California, was a quick get away to sample the dry air, relax, and
see the sights. This town has undergone a beautification in the past few years.
Flowers in the center islands, new paint on everything, and rising out of the
downtown, the huge mountain where the tramway is located, taking visitors to the
top of the peak. The area is a collection of towns, Palm Desert, Cathedral City,
La Quinta, Hot Springs, Palm Springs, with golf courses, spas, wonderful
restaurants, and shopping. We had coffee at Seattle's Best, lunch at a favorite
Mexican restaurant, breakfast at Sherman's, and are planning a return to sample
some of the other local venues. Housing is going up everywhere! Just like the
Scottsdale/Phoenix metropolitan area...especially in the south and western
communities. We have major sports stadiums under construction and whole new
complexes building up on their coat tails: offices, restaurants, shops. So many
people like to "eat out" here in our area. Some, every day. Showed houses over
the weekend. Amazing values: $130,000 new construction, 1300+ sq. ft., 3
bedrooms, 2 baths, 2 car garage. Also $750,000. house in a mature neighborhood,
3800 sq. ft. 4 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths 3 car garage, pool, with spectacular views
of the mountains. The market has been undergoing change this season since the
relocating families are all settled in. Now we are working with local people who
want something new, not too far away from their current residences. They have
little urgency, and will purchase a new home when they find it. Always a
challenge, always interesting, always gratifying to assist these wonderful
people in the successful search for a new home. I will be happy to help you as
well! Call me, attend one of my two seminars on
building a custom home, come by and say hello. The seminars are free and
easy to find: one in Scottsdale, one in Payson. Soon to be in Prescott, AZ.
