Hello
from Arizona! It is beginning to feel like autumn here. So many of you have been
coming in to meet with me, and faithfully I do go out, show properties, give you
back up information with comparable sales, research on the area, and any other
pertinent data that you need. All accompanied by bottles of water, stops at the
convenience market for sodas, to satisfy big thirsts. This past weekend I
actually had the patio doors open for the breezes to enter. It is becoming
cooler! Now is the time to visit! Hotel rates are still affordable, the temps
are down, and houses and condos are available. We looked at one condominium
last week; two bedrooms, one bath, vaulted ceilings, light and bright, private
patio, covered parking just outside the front door, gardens, park surroundings,
tall trees, for only $90,000. Also made an offer of 1.2 million on another
place. One thing I don't mention here, and possibly should include is our low,
low, property taxes, generally speaking. One customer remarked that for
comparable property in the San Francisco Bay Area, it would have been a figure
3-4 times higher. I am finding rental houses and condos for some of you and I am
researching office space for a company that is planning a move to Arizona.
Rates for good space range from approximately $15-35/sq ft, and many of the
services included. There are some terrific opportunities out there due to a
great deal of new construction attracting the in town users who move over to
newer space with incentives. Naturally, there are incentives everywhere, so
it's just a matter of selecting the best possible site for a good price.
Notes
from home: my garden is recovering from a huge tree branch which fell into my
roses two weeks ago. I'm sure you can all relate to that. I was so grateful
that John, my tree expert, came out with speed, and took it away. The roses are
fine, a bit dizzy, but fine. My favorite is "
"
a coral red tea rose with the sweetest fragrance. One rose will perfume the
living room when I bring them inside. Heading out for a high school reunion
soon. Now there's a party! And later on to the beaches of Mexico. I'll report
to you later on how many fish I saw, new sightseeing spots, and Van Halen's club
birthday party for Sammy. By the way, camping with the young ones in my family was a
huge success. Caught trout, hiked, picnicked in fields of flowers, chased
butterflies, had ice cream, heard raccoons at night. I recommend it! See you
later!
Best regards,
Helen
ps I'm thinking of a trip club, Friends of
Helen. Anyone out there interested? I have been a group tour leader in the
past...think about it.
