It is Fall, at least that is what the
calendar insists! Of course, here in Arizona we are still fanning ourselves into
the misconception that it "is getting cooler, day by day".
We are serious about investment opportunities however. Never before have there been so many properties selling so quickly. Which tells me that we have many new buyers out there coming into town and seeing the wisdom of putting some of their monies into real estate. Beyond a personal residence. Some houses are being purchased for between $600,000-$1,000,000 remodeled or torn down to rebuild and a profit being made. The demand for luxury homes is very high. With 100% loans out there, sometimes 103%, depending on the credit of the borrower, it can be an easy entry into good investments. Some houses just need a coat of paint, some new fixtures, a refreshment of the landscaping, new granite countertops, new carpet, and they look wonderful. Location is the thing, and will always be true. Buy location, we say, and you have a wise first step. Vacation
time is over for many of us desert people, school has started and it has been
enjoyable seeing the bright yellow school buses emptying tired students at the
neighborhood corners. Our grade point averages are very high in Scottsdale and
we are proud of all the hard work it takes to accomplish good marks. This is mid
season here: just before the charity events line up in full regalia, just before
the holidays, just before the international horse and auto shows, and just
before the football leagues get serious about a winning season.
