The Olympics are over, hooray for the USA, didn't visit it personally, however we cheered all of the US teams and singles for their heroic and dazzling performances, one and all.

Spring has hit Arizona!  You who are not yet citizens of this promised land, let me fill you in on the details.  It was 80 degrees yesterday, sunny, not a breeze blowing.  I had two open houses over the weekend, one with a location on a golf course, Troon, and the other on 2 acres, an estate type property with views in all directions.  What a pleasure to see these wonderful properties, immaculate, well priced, (between 600K and 1.2 million). Both of them are over 3000 sq ft. Golfers are in town, enjoying the sun.  Proud Arabian horses are in town, finishing the annual All Arabian horse show. We just had the annual rodeo.  Our 5 star restaurants are open and pleasing satisfied patrons. As a real estate appraiser, I am continually on the look out for good values, i.e., properties that have a redeeming set of amenities that in my estimation increase the value to my clientele.  I have lived in the area since the early 60's. I know the metropolitan communities very well. Last thing:  I am planning a castle tour of Englandsometime either early Fall of 2002, or early next year. I have friends who own one, and yesterday heard a first hand account of John Houston's former home in Ireland, now owned by Merv Griffin. We will leisurely pace ourselves, flying into Gatwick, heavens, not Heathrow, have personal aides on hand to plan a lovely holiday.
